The Tornado Intercept Vehicle 2 (TIV2) is a mobile tripod built for capturing close-range tornado footage. It features deployable wind flaps, anchoring spikes, and layered armor made of steel, Kevlar, polycarbonate, and aluminum. 

Team

Storm of Passion is a team of nine volunteers dedicated to preserving and operating a piece of storm-chasing history. The team includes drivers, navigators, mechanics, and producers, each contributing their expertise to keep the legacy alive and the vehicle storm-ready.

Years of Experience

Built in 2008 by IMAX filmmaker Sean Casey and sold to Storm Of Passion, TIV-2 has been featured in films and TV programs like Storm Chasers, Tornado Alley, and Extreme Weather. Designed for up-close tornado interception, it remains an iconic vehicle in storm-chasing history.
